Black Lives Matter Lake County, is committed to making a positive impact in our community. We invite you to explore our various programs and initiatives.
We provide a safe and supportive space for Black teenage girls to connect, learn, and grow. Through mentorship, workshops, and community events, we empower young women to navigate challenges, build confidence, and pursue their dreams. Ages 14-19
Through advocacy and support, we assist individuals and communities in pursuing civil rights lawsuits to address systemic discrimination, police brutality, and other forms of racial injustice
We equip individuals with crucial knowledge and skills to confidently interact with law enforcement while asserting their legal rights. Through workshops, role-playing exercises, and educational resources, participants learn how to navigate encounters with police, assert their rights effectively, and protect themselves from injustice.
We offer support and assistance to formerly incarcerated individuals as they re-enter society. Through job training, housing assistance, and community support, we help break the cycle of incarceration and provide pathways to a successful and fulfilling life beyond prison walls.
We provide support and resources to individuals in the Black community facing substance abuse challenges. Through counseling, education, and access to treatment, we aim to intervene early, offer alternatives, and empower individuals to overcome addiction and reclaim their lives.
If you have experience in activism or wish to offer your time to facilitate one of our programs, we welcome you. Together, let's empower our community and advocate for justice. Volunteer with Black Live Matter Lake County today!
